When I was a kid I used to write stories and draw comics about HB characters. They are a big influence on me.

Over the long decades I've been summoned many times to develop Hanna Barbera cartoons for a revival but somehow they never go through.

Here's a heart-rending story featuring Augie Doggie and Doggie Daddie.

In the sad tale Augie brings home a new friend - a shrew. I saw a special on TV about shrews and wanted to use real life facts about their habits and metabolism. 

I found a bunch of nice photos of these lovable yet pathetic creatures and began farting around with some design ideas.
